Union Springs, AL Depot Fire, Nov 1915

BIG FIRE IN ALABAMA.

MONTGOMERY, Ala., Nov. 20.---The railroad section of Union Springs, Ala., was swept by a fire early this morning which caused damages in excess of $100,000. The Birmingham and Southeastern freight and passenger depots were destroyed, along with 300 bales of cotton stored in a warehouse near the freight depot. Several buildings owned by the Southern Cotton Oil Company were also destroyed as were two passenger coaches on a side track. The cause of the blaze has not been determined.
