FIVE DROWN IN RIVER
Five Dorwned (Sic)
MONTGOMERY, Ala., March 14-Five persons were drowned today in the Alabama river near hear by rising waters which followed last night's storm. Three whites and a negro were drowned from the ferry and WILLIAM DILLARD a white boy playing near the river bank fell in and was drowned.
Last night's rain was the heaviest here in twenty years. Five and a half inches fell in a little more than five hours.
