Prattmont, AL Greyhound Bus And Car Collide, Oct 1950

FOUR PERSONS KILLED IN CAR -- BUS COLLISION.

Prattville, Ala., Oct. 22. (INS) -- Four persons were killed and three were injured early today when a car in which they were riding collided with a northbound Greyhound bus four miles north of Prattmont, Ala.
Autauga County Coroner L. W. Speigner identified the victims as MR. and MRS. A. R. QUINN, 28 and 26; MRS. FIELD HUNT, 24, and MISS MILDRED STEWART, 21, all of Birmingham.
The injured persons released later from a Prattville hospital, were FIELD HUNT, 30, and JAMES GIBSON, 30, both of Birmingham.
One other unidentified passenger, who was on the bus, received minor injuries.
Speigner said the driver of the car apparently lost control of the vehicle and it veered off to the left of U.S. Highway 31. The car was demolished.
